What makes this forecast different
Your postcode, not your nearest city. Search a full postcode (or tap Locate me) and the forecast is pinned to about 100 m - in the hills, the next street can be 100 m higher and get different weather.
It knows your terrain. The land around your exact spot is profiled in 1, 2 and 5 km rings: valley floors get frost-hollow nights and sheltered or funnelled wind, exposed tops read gustier, and a clear calm damp night in a valley raises a fog heads-up.
Five national forecast centres, not one. Every rain figure blends ~156 forecasts from ECMWF, the Met Office, ICON, the US GEFS and the Canadian GEM - each weighted by decades of published skill.
Rain means rain. The percentage is the chance of rain you would actually notice (0.5 mm+), never a 0.1 mm technicality. Hold any part of the day to see expected millimetres.
It checks itself against reality. Recent forecasts are scored against real Environment Agency and SEPA rain gauges near you; if the models have been wrong here lately, confidence is marked down and says so.
Honest by rule. Icons can never contradict the number beside them, and where the data cannot support a claim, the app stays quiet rather than guessing.
